Duorum wine project
Douro Valley

On the steep banks of the upper Douro around Vila Nova de Foz Coa and Castelo Melhor, lies this astonishing new plantation, in excess of 250 hectares going under vine. This is a massive undertaking, and outstrips the normal size of neighbouring vineyards many-fold. All the classic varieties are planted, and this is the dreamchild of José Maria Soares Franco and Joao Portugal Ramos, working in partnership to produce outstanding quality table wines in a valley where port has always held sway.
Three qualities of wines are available. 'Tons' de Duorum ('tons' means hints / tones), Duroum Colheita and Duroum Reserva
