Established in 1990 Oakley Wine Agencies  specialises in the wines of Portugal and Northwest Spain. 

All our winery partners are family estates with a passion for quality, while giving real value for money.

From rich, robust reds from the Douro and Toro, squeaky clean Albariños, Vinho Verdes and whites from the Lisbon coast, elegant and fine offerings from the Dao, and delicious gluggable reds rom the Alentejo, Tejo and Lisboa regions in the south, we have something to suit all tastes.  New to the portfolio for 2012 are the Vinho Verde wines from Cazas Novas and Quinta de Gomariz, Navarra wines from Pagos de Araiz.  Also we are anticipating more wines from Brazil during the summer, to coincide with passing the Olympic torch to Rio de Janeiro

Pictured left is Quinta Nova, in the Douro valley, just a litttle to the west of Pinhao.  The spectacular railway journey from Porto is worth while and the vineyard has its own station (Ferrao) at the foot of the vineyard

International reach

We act as agents for our vineyards in the British and Irish markets.  We also represent several in the Norwegian market, working in partnership with Symposium Wines AS.  Customers from as far afield as Jamaica, Dubai, Mumbai, Doha and Abu Dhabi buy from our UK bonded stock range.  In the larger UK, independent traders as far afield as Northern Ireland, Scotland and Cornwall also take from our bonded UK stock

We only deal with trade customers, but we are happy to direct enquiries from the public to one of our retailers or wholesalers

We sell our range of wines in two ways

1.  Ex cellars - all markets

90% of our business is conducted in this way.  Please ask for our Ex Cellars price list

2.  Under Bond - 20 case mixed drops (aimed at the independent merchant) - UK trade only

Wine can be delivered to your own bonded store, or delivered to a duty paid location against payment of excise duty (either by deferment, transfer, or cheque).  Our UK stock* lies at London City Bond - Tilbury depot -and transfers within this depot are subject to a modest discount.  As few as five case can be ordered for collection or transfer at LCB. Prices are close to Ex Cellar - a very popular way of increasing your Portuguese and Spanish portfolio with only modest inventory costs.

Most of our wines would retail between £6.59 and £12.99, with many below the ten pound mark

* vintages - the vintage we hold in UK stock may be behind the vintage available at the vineyard, that is in the nature of shipped stock.  Please double check if in doubt
